Merit Canada is the national voice of Canada’s six provincial open shop construction associations. Together we represent the companies and workers who build more than 70% of the industrial, commercial and institutional, and residential construction projects from coast to coast.
The Canadian construction sector employs 1.2 million Canadians. That means over 900,000 tradespeople work in open shops, where belonging to a union is not a condition of employment.
